Families need help finding teenage girl, young woman who vanished in Miami-Dade

MIAMI – Two families have been worried about the whereabouts of a teenage girl and a young woman who vanished in November in Miami-Dade County.

Detectives with the Miami-Dade Police Department’s Special Victims Bureau asked the public for help finding them. The cases are unrelated, but they are both in need of services, police said.

Relatives last saw Angélica Guadalupe Mayorga Rivera at 11 p.m., on Nov. 1, near the 3000 block of Northwest 10 Avenue, in northwestern Miami-Dade. She is 16 and turns 17 on Dec. 14. She weighs about 180 lbs., and is about 5 feet tall. She has dark brown hair and brown eyes.

Relatives last saw Marilyn Giselle Watson. also known as Marilym, at about 5:25 a.m., on Nov. 28 wearing a pink or fuchsia sports bra top, white pants, and high heels in Miami-Dade. She is 24, weighs about 120 lbs., and is about 5 feet 3 inches tall. She has a pending misdemeanor case in court for alleged domestic violence.

County court records show prosecutors filed misdemeanor battery domestic violence cases after arrests on Oct. 19 and Nov. 15 in Miami-Dade. Prosecutors dropped the October case after ordering her to stay away from the victim. She was released on a $2,000 bond on Nov. 28, after a judge ordered her to stay away from the victim. The court set an arraignment hearing on the pending case for 9:30 a.m., on Dec. 18, with Miami-Dad County Circuit Judge Alicia Garcia Priovolos.

Detectives said both Angélica and Watson may need services, and they asked anyone with information about missing persons to call 911, the SV bureau at 305-715-3300, or Crime Stoppers at 305-471-8477 to remain anonymous.
