HOLLYWOOD, Fla. – Two people died and two were injured after a shooting in a parking lot after a celebration on Sunday morning in Broward County.
According to Deanna Bettineschi, a spokeswoman for the Hollywood Police Department, police officers found four people had been shot in the parking lot of the Hollywood Jaycees Hall. Witnesses reported there was an argument before the shooting at 2930 Hollywood Boulevard.
According to Bettineschi, police officers found the first shooting victim dead shortly after 1:30 a.m., in the parking lot of the party hall. Fire rescue took three to the hospital. The second victim died at Memorial Regional Hospital, where the two others were treated.
“Detectives have identified several persons of interest, and it appears that this was an isolated incident,” Bettineschi wrote in a Sunday afternoon statement. “Detectives are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the homicide.”
