SUNRISE, Fla. – A suspect was arrested Tuesday after police said he shot a man that left him critically injured outside a restaurant in Sunrise over the weekend.

Sunrise police said officers responded to reports of gunfire near the 8300 block of West Oakland Park Boulevard around 11:25 p.m. Saturday and found the victim unresponsive after suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
First responders from Sunrise Fire Rescue provided medical treatment before transporting the victim to Broward Health Medical Center, according to an arrest report. Local 10 requested an update Wednesday on the victim’s current condition.
Police have not disclosed any information on the victim’s name or age.
Witnesses at the scene described the suspect, leading officers to detain 23-year-old Reshawnd James Pond Jr. after police said they located him in the parking lot near the crime scene.
Detectives said investigators collected statements from four witnesses who claimed they saw the shooting.
Jail records show Pond is facing a charge of first-degree attempted premeditated murder.
As of Wednesday, he is being held without bond at the Broward Main Jail.
