According to an arrest report, Miami Gardens police officers talked to the man on Monday who said he had been in a nine-year relationship with his attacker.

Police officers questioned Gibbs, 38, on Tuesday at the police station. A police officer reported she denied “slicing the victim near the neck [or] jugular despite photographs.”

Police officers arrested Gibbs, and Miami-Dade County correctional officers booked her on Tuesday night at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center.

County inmate records show Gibbs was facing a charge of attempted murder. Detectives asked anyone with information about this or other cases to call Miami-Dade County Crime Stoppers at 305-471-8477.
