Worker injured after falling at Bal Harbour construction site

BAL HARBOUR, Fla. ā€“ A construction worker was injured in a fall at a construction site in Bal Harbour on Tuesday morning, according to Miami-Dade Fire Rescue.

MDFR personnel, including air rescue teams, responded to the scene after receiving reports of the incident that occurred near 96th Street and Bay Drive.

Upon arrival, authorities said MDFR crews used a Stokes basket to safely remove the worker from the area for transport.

The worker was then airlifted to a nearby trauma center. No further details on the workerā€™s condition, age, or identity have been released.

Sky 10 flew over the construction site just after 10 a.m., where MDFR rescue trucks were at the scene as medics placed the worker into an air rescue helicopter shortly before 10:20 a.m.

Authorities confirmed the incident remains under investigation.
