South Florida expected to see warm, dry weather through Thanksgiving weekend

With Thanksgiving just around the corner, South Floridians can look forward to seasonally warm and dry weather, perfect for outdoor festivities and travel.

Tuesday’s forecast promises sunny skies and highs in the lower 80s, with a comfortable breeze from the north-northwest.

Temperatures will dip into the mid-to-upper 60s overnight Wednesday, offering crisp and cool mornings that are ideal for early holiday preparations. Humidity levels will remain in the “comfortable” category, thanks to dry air in the atmosphere, according to Local 10 Meteorologist Julie Durda.

Elsewhere in Florida, cities like Tampa, Orlando, and Fort Myers are also set to enjoy beautiful weather through Thanksgiving Day. A weak cold front is expected to approach the state by Friday, bringing a slight chance of showers to some areas, but it’s not expected to significantly impact the holiday weekend.

6 a.m. report:

“South Florida will stay dry and seasonably warm leading into Thanksgiving,” Durda said. “We’ll see a bit more moisture as the front moves in on Friday, but the weekend should clear out nicely.”

Thanksgiving Day in South Florida will be slightly warmer, with highs climbing into the mid-80s. Despite the increase in temperature, humidity levels will remain manageable, ensuring comfortable conditions for outdoor gatherings.

By Saturday, the cold front is forecast to move through the region, bringing cooler and less humid air back into the area. Residents can expect breezy conditions and more pleasant weather to close out the weekend.

Key West, known for its tropical climate, will stay warm and picturesque throughout the week, with temperatures slightly higher than the mainland’s but still comfortable for Thanksgiving festivities.

Whether staying home or traveling within the state, Floridians are expected to enjoy ideal weather, making this Thanksgiving one to remember.
