According to Local 10 Meteorologist Betty Davis, South Florida residents can continue to enjoy sunny skies and pleasant weather this week. While temperatures have warmed slightly since the weekend cool down, conditions remain favorable for outdoor activities.

9 a.m. report

Afternoon highs are hovering near seasonal averages, with Miami reaching 80 degrees Monday.

Fort Lauderdale was slightly cooler at 78, while Pembroke Pines topped out at 82 and Kendall hit 81. An east-northeast wind has moderated temperatures, preventing a return to the chillier conditions seen over the weekend.

Overnight, scattered clouds are expected, and lows should settle around 67 degrees in Miami. Davis noted that while the evening will remain comfortable, it won’t be as crisp as previous nights.

“We’re starting to see moisture levels in the atmosphere tick up slightly, with dew points now in the low 60s instead of the 50s,” she explained. “But it’s still not humid, and there’s no rain in sight.”

Looking ahead, another cold front is on the horizon, promising another dip in temperatures by the weekend.

Davis said high pressure is currently dominating Florida’s weather, keeping conditions dry and pleasant. The next front is not expected to trigger significant rainfall, allowing the region to maintain clear skies through much of the week.

Nighttime lows will hold steady in the mid-60s through Friday, with a warming trend leading up to Thanksgiving. Thursday morning is forecast to start at 66 degrees, with a high of 84 in the afternoon.

The real temperature shift arrives this weekend, as the next strong cold front moves through. By Monday, highs may struggle to reach 70 degrees, with morning lows potentially dipping into the 50s.

For now, South Florida residents can savor sunny days and mild nights. “Enjoy it while it lasts,” Davis added, “because there’s more cool air on the way.”

While temperatures are slightly warmer than Sunday, the breeze remains light, making it perfect for outdoor activities. A warmer pattern is expected to settle in as the holiday approaches.

So open up those windows and doors and enjoy the chilly though refreshing change for the next couple of days.
