DEERFIELD BEACH, Fla. – An educator at a Christian school in Plantation has been arrested on some disturbing allegations.
According to the Broward Sheriff’s Office, detectives took Candace Brown, 35, of Weston, into custody after she turned herself in at the Broward County Main Jail on Friday.
She is facing on two counts of lewd and lascivious battery on a victim less than 16 years old and one count each of lewd and lascivious conduct and transmission of material harmful to a minor by electronic device, authorities said.
According to BSO, while Brown was a teacher at Sawgrass Adventist School, she engaged in “lewd and lascivious acts with a 14-year-old male student.”
The victim told detectives that the incidents took place over the summer in Deerfield Beach.

Her arrest report wasn’t immediately available. Local 10 News is contacting the school seeking comment.
