2 teens among 3 people shot in northwest Miami-Dade

MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. – Authorities are investigating a shooting that injured two teenagers and a man in northwest Miami-Dade County.

It happened early Thursday evening in the area of Northwest 65th Street and 22nd Avenue in the county’s Gladeview area.

According to Miami-Dade police, the victims were shot and suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

Their ages are 15, 17 and 22.

According to police, the victims were standing outside of a vacant lot when the gunman arrived and opened fire before fleeing the area.

All three victims were shot in the leg and were taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital in stable condition, police said.

Authorities did not provide a description of any suspects, but did have a perimeter in the area following the shooting.

Police said the relationship between the victims and the shooter, as well as a motive, remains unknown.

“Those males are now being treated for their wounds and our detectives are here on scene canvassing the area for subjects as well as evidence,” Detective Andre Martin told Local 10 News. “I can tell you at this time that our detectives have collected some evidence here on scene to piece together exactly what happened here. However, as with any crime of this nature, we rely on assistance from you at home, the public, with any tips or information you have on what occurred here tonight.”
