According to a police report, fire rescue personnel took the injured man to the Jackson South Medical Center on Tuesday and Yaddisha Y. Rancher surrendered to police on Wednesday at the Kendall District Station.

After Rancher confessed to using a cellphone to hurt her brother, police officers arrested her, correctional officers booked her at Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center, and she appeared in court Thursday.

The conflict was allegedly over a man Rancher had brought home, police said. She was facing charges of aggravated abuse of a disabled adult and aggravated battery. A judge set her bond at $2,500.
