According to Porro, Davis shot Grissom, of Pasadena, California, in the chest abdomen, and arms, and ran outside where Francois, was waiting in a silver convertible 2017 Mercedes Benz E400 with a New Jersey license plate.

Two women were injured. Miami-Dade Fire Rescue personnel took Grissom to Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center where he died about two hours later. He was 37.

Davis, who was arrested in Redway, California, on Oct. 17, was also wanted in Canada for a 2022 kidnapping at a lakefront community in Ontario.

On Thursday afternoon, inmate records showed Davis was at the Metrowest Detention Center in Doral after a judge denied him bond. He also has a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement hold. Francois was at Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center without bond.

Court records show Davis is facing a second-degree murder charge and two counts of first-degree attempted murder. Francois is facing a first-degree murder charge and he had two pending warrants for driving without a valid driver’s license and reckless driving.

Miami-Dade County Circuit Judge Ellen Sue Venzer is presiding over Davis’s case. County Circuit Judge Laura Anne Stuzin is presiding over Francois’s case.
