Search for shooter ongoing after man shot in Fort Lauderdale

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Fort Lauderdale police are searching for the person who shot a man Tuesday night.

According to Detective Ali Adamson, the shooting was reported at about 10 p.m. in the 1400 block of Southwest Fifth Court in the city’s Riverside Park neighborhood.

Adamson said officers arrived at the scene and found a man suffering from injuries.

He was transported to Broward Health Medical Center as a trauma alert by Fort Lauderdale Fire Rescue.

A Local 10 News crew was in the area Wednesday morning as detectives were still processing the scene. A large amount of blood was spotted on the front door of a home.

Adamson confirmed that no arrests have been made at this time and the investigation remains ongoing.
