Prominent South Florida high school football coach accused of watching porn in classroom

MIAMI ā€“ Max Edwards is a popular high school football coach most recently assigned to the athletic department at Miami Jackson Senior High School.

But just this week, the trusted staff member is being accused of reportedly watching pornographic material while on the job, in a classroom, on a school computer.

In statement to Local 10 News, the school district said:

ā€œMiami-Dade County Public Schools is disturbed by the allegations made regarding concerning behavior involving an employee at Miami Jackson Senior High School. The individual has been removed from the school site pending the outcome of an investigation.ā€

Edwards made his mark previously on the sidelines of football fields at both Miami Central High and at Miami Northwestern Senior High School.

The latter is where he spent roughly ten years, leading the Northwestern Bulls as the team won three state championships.

Success that Edwards and others had hoped would carry over to his new role at Miami Jackson.

A career and reputation likely tarnished, if the allegations are proven true.
