Woman shot dead near Miami Gardens apartment complex, police say

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – Police are investigating after they said a woman was fatally shot outside of an apartment complex in Miami Gardens Tuesday morning.

Miami Gardens police confirmed that officers discovered a Black woman who had died from multiple gunshot wounds outside the Oak Enclave apartment complex just after 7 a.m. near the 2300 block of Northwest 167th Street.

Crime scene tape stretched across a large section of the parking lot as investigators combed the area for evidence.

A Local 10 News crew captured footage of the woman’s body being covered by a tarp while officers questioned individuals at the gated complex.

Authorities have not yet released the woman’s identity or disclosed any information about potential suspects or persons of interest in the shooting.

A motive has also not been disclosed at this time.
