FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – The Broadway season is kicking in true style at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts, with “The Cher Show” bringing all the glitz and glam,
After a year of touring, the three Chers are back in South Florida, with each playing a different version of Cher at different points in her life and career.
“That she’s still being the icon she has for seven decades and it’s still continuing to be that. So the fact that she as she’s getting more triumphs and accolades we get to represent her,” said Morgan Scott, who plays the Star version of Cher.
If you think they’re used to playing Cher night after night, think again.
“I can’t mess this up, it’s Cher! I need to make sure I’m doing her justice,” said Ella Perez who plays the Babe version of Cher.
“You cannot play around. It is Cher every night,” said Catherine Ariale, who plays the Lady version.
The show, of course, features fan-favorite songs from her Sonny and Cher days like, “I Got You Babe.”
Also famous tunes from her solo career like the iconic “Believe.”
And we can’t forget about the costumes! There are more than 100 costumes in the show, with quick changes lasting only seconds.
“I have one that’s in the teens for Vegas. That is like possibly 20 or 18 seconds, it’s so fast,” said Ariale.
The show proves time and time again that Cher and her legacy, will stand the test of time.
“She always triumphed and she got back up and it was, “you haven’t seen the last of me and I will still keep going,’” said Scott.
The Cher Show is playing at the Broward Center for the Performing arts until Nov. 24.
