MEDLEY, Fla. – Miami-Dade police have identified two of the four victims killed in a three-vehicle crash early Saturday morning in Medley.

According to Detective Andre D. Martin, a spokesperson for the Miami-Dade Police Department, officers responded to the crash shortly before 1 a.m. at Northwest 72nd Avenue and 74th Street. Medley police closed the area to traffic after the incident.
Miami-Dade Fire Rescue personnel pronounced a man and a woman dead at the scene. Another woman was taken to HCA Florida Kendall Hospital, and a teenage boy was airlifted to Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center. Both the teen and the woman later died at the hospital, according to investigators.
The Miami-Dade Medical Examiner’s Office removed the bodies from the scene, and police on Monday identified the deceased women as 48-year-old Lainet Guarita Rodriguez and 29-year-old Liudila Lara Rodriguez. Investigators have not yet determined if the two women were related.
All four victims were in a black sedan. Tow trucks later removed the heavily damaged sedan, a Cadillac CTS, as well as a GMC Sierra pickup truck and a third vehicle.
Miami-Dade Police traffic homicide detectives are investigating the cause of the crash. Authorities urge anyone with information to contact Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-8477 to remain anonymous.
