According to Gerdy St. Louis, a BSO spokeswoman, deputies were searching for two suspects after an armed robbery early Sunday morning at Sunset Drive and Northeast Third Street.

“The subjects have refused to exit the home,” St. Louis said.

Quinto Perichon, a neighbor, said deputies repeated loud commands: “Come out with your hands up!” The standoff lasted for hours. Perichon said he was so close that deputies ordered him to stay inside his home when he opened his front door.

“I was scared ... It takes one silly person to just fire a shot and that’s when things get messy,” Perichon said.
