MEDLEY, Fla. – Two women, a man, and a teenage boy died after a three-vehicle crash on Saturday morning in Miami-Dade County’s Town of Medley, police said.
According to Detective Andre D. Martin, a spokesman for the Miami-Dade Police Department, police officers responded to the crash shortly before 1 a.m., at Northwest 72 Avenue and 74 Street. Medley police officers closed the area after the crash.
Miami-Dade Fire Rescue personnel pronounced the man and a woman dead at the scene of the crash. They took the other woman to HCA Florida Kendall Hospital and used a helicopter to fly the teenage boy to Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center.
The hospitals’ staff pronounced the teen and the woman dead. A Miami-Dade Medical Examiner’s Office team responded to retrieve the two bodies from the scene of the crash.
According to Martin, the two dead and two injured were in a black sedan. Tow trucks responded to remove what was left of the sedan, a dark Cadillac CTS sedan with side damage, and a crashed GMC Sierra pickup truck.
MDPD traffic homicide detectives investigated the cause of the crash, and they asked anyone with information about this or other cases to call Miami-Dade County Crime Stoppers at 305-471-8477 to remain anonymous.
