Man dies after being pulled from Oakland Park pool

OAKLAND PARK, Fla. ā€“ A man has died after being pulled from a pool at an apartment complex in Oakland Park early Wednesday morning, authorities confirmed.

The Broward Sheriffā€™s Office has not disclosed his age or identity at this time.

According to investigators, Broward sheriffā€™s deputies and Oakland Park Fire Rescue crews responded to a call about a possible drowning near the 3000 block of Northeast Sixth Avenue just after 5:30 a.m.

BSO said medics found an unresponsive man who they said had been pulled from the pool by a bystander. The bystander administered CPR until rescue teams arrived, authorities confirmed.

The man was transported to a nearby hospital, where deputies said he was later pronounced dead.

Investigators confirmed there is no suspicion of foul play at this time.

Authorities said the Broward County Medical Examinerā€™s Office will determine the cause and manner of death. The circumstances as to how the man ended up in the pool remain under investigation.
