LAUDERDALE-BY-THE-SEA, Fla. – The Broward Sheriff’s Office is investigating after the body of a man was pulled from the water in Lauderdale-by-the-Sea Thursday night.
BSO deputies and Pompano Beach Fire Rescue responded to the scene after receiving a call shortly after 8 p.m. about an unresponsive person in the water in the 1900 block of South Ocean Boulevard.

Authorities said the body was pulled out of the water and the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
BSO’s Homicide and Crime Scene units are investigating, and the Broward County Medical Examiner’s Office will determine the cause and manner of death.
Authorities confirmed that foul play is not suspected at this time.
The victim’s identity has not yet been released.
