For 11 years, Local 10 News has collected non-perishable foods to help our local food pantries feed the needy in South Florida.
This year, the Local 10 News Day of Giving happened all day Friday, from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Members of the Local 10 News team fanned out across South Florida to help collect non-perishable donations to help seven local hunger relief organizations feed families this holiday season.
Before sunrise, Kristi Krueger and Jenise Fernandez were at the Publix in Pembroke Pines located at 15729 Pines Blvd.
They were collecting food to stock Manna Share-A-Mealās pantry.
Starting at 9 a.m., Andrew Perez and volunteers from Joshuaās Heart Foundation accepted donations at the Publix in Kendall located at 9105 S. Dadeland Blvd.
From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Local 10ā²s Calvin Hughes and Nicole Perez helped the good people at The Caring Place receive your generous food donations. They were at the Publix in Hollywood, located at 1700 Sheridan St.
During that time, Local 10ā²s Betty Davis was in Fort Lauderdale with the ladies from The Harvest Drive collecting items at the Publix located at 3400 N. Federal Highway.
Capping off the Day of Giving, Louis Aguirre and Alex Finnie were at the Miami Shores Publix located at 9050 Biscayne Blvd. from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. with Make-A-Wish Veterans.
