DAVIE, Fla. – A man was arrested Sunday in Broward County after he was spotted by a Hollywood police officer driving east in the westbound lanes of Interstate 595, east of Southwest 136th Street in Davie, authorities said.

According to an arrest report from the Florida Highway Patrol, the officer turned around, pulled over the gray 2005 Toyota and requested assistance.

The report states that the driver, Anderson Perrea Rodreguez, was ordered out of the vehicle and was unable to provide law enforcement with a driver’s license.

According to the report, Rodreguez does not have a driver’s license in any U.S. state and was taken into custody by troopers.

Authorities said a sergeant at the scene approached the FHP vehicle that Rodreguez was sitting in at one point and Rodreguez told the sergeant in Spanish, “If you guys don’t let me go, I am going to kill all three of you,” adding that he is a member of a Venezuelan gang.

According to the arrest report, once at the Broward Main Jail, Rodreguez told a Miramar police officer, “I am going to find these two troopers and hurt them. I don’t care if it takes a whole year. I am a gang member and I will find them.”

Jail records show Rodreguez is facing multiple charges, including operating a motor vehicle without a valid license, threatening a law enforcement officer, driving the wrong way down a one-way roadway, failure to wear a seat belt and “rough surfaced wheels prohibit.”

As of Tuesday afternoon, he remained at the Broward Main Jail on a $10,500 bond.
