MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – A Miami Gardens man picked a woman up from a Sexyy Red event at a South Florida strip club, claiming to be the rapper’s manager, drove the victim to his home, then forced her to take cocaine at gunpoint and raped her for “several hours,” according to police.

Police arrested Vladimir Joseph, 41, on charges of armed sexual battery and false imprisonment with a weapon on Tuesday. His arrest report identifies him as a “promoter.”

According to Miami Gardens police, the sexual assault happened in the early morning hours of May 27.

The victim, police said, was “working an event” for Sexyy Redd — the stage name of St. Louis hip-hop artist Janae Nierah Wherry — at the Booby Trap on the River strip club at 3615 NW S. River Drive in unincorporated Miami-Dade.

The arrest report states that while the woman waited outside, a man, later identified as Joseph, approached her in a gray Lexus and said he was “Alexander Beamer,” Wherry’s manager.

“Vladimir Joseph is not her manager,” a representative for the artist confirmed in an email to Local 10 News.

Police said the woman and three men got in the car and Joseph drove her to his home in the 20900 block of Northwest 14th Place.

That’s where police said Joseph put a gun to the victim’s head and forced her to take cocaine.

“Take it or I will kill you,” Joseph is accused of telling her.

He “then made her walk upstairs” where he raped her “for several hours,” the report states.

Police said Joseph “recorded her performing sex acts on him” with two cellphones, then “forced the victim to take a shower and continued sexually assaulting her again.”

After continually raping her, Joseph ordered her a Lyft home, the report states. Police said he sent the ride details to her phone, which allowed her to pinpoint where she was raped — and who raped her.

She went to Jackson Memorial Hospital and was examined and treated at the Roxcy Bolton Rape Treatment Center, where staff collected a rape kit, police said.

Police said the woman tested positive for drugs. Details about DNA results were redacted from the arrest report, but police said she was able to pick Joseph out of a photo lineup as the assailant.

Authorities said Joseph went to the Miami Gardens Police Department Tuesday with his attorney to surrender to police.

Joseph was being held without bond at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center as of Wednesday afternoon.
