NORTH MIAMI BEACH, Fla. – Police are investigating after they said the body of a man was found floating inside a North Miami Beach canal Monday morning.
According to the North Miami Beach Police Department, officers received a call around 7:45 a.m. from a passerby who spotted the body in the water near a residential area in the 1800 block of South Glades Drive.
Few details have been released as investigators remain at the scene, working to determine the circumstances surrounding the discovery.
A Local 10 News crew arrived at the scene, where the area was cordoned off with crime scene tape. Near the body, a white floating ring could be seen in the water.
A Miami-Dade County medical examiner unit arrived and transported the body for further investigation.
No other details about the victim were immediately released.
