Post-op recovery home owner sexually battered at least 2 cosmetic surgery patients, cops say

Alberto Vidal (MDCR)

MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. – A 49-year-old man who owned a post-operative recovery home in southwest Miami-Dade is accused of sexually battering at least two women after they had cosmetic surgeries.

Police arrested Alberto Arias Vidal on Wednesday. Authorities said he operated Surgery Recovery House LLC out of a home at 11461 SW 226th Terrace in the Princeton area.

According to arrest reports from the Miami-Dade Police Department, the victims told police that they paid Vidal to “provide clinical care and lymphatic massages.” Vidal, however, “was neither a licensed medical provider nor licensed to perform lymphatic massages,” police said.

The first victim told police that on June 21, while Vidal “was giving her a lymphatic massage, he digitally penetrated her vagina against her will,” a report states.

Police said as they were interviewing the second woman as a witness to the crime, she told them that she, too, was a victim, telling police that during a June 22 massage, Vidal “fondled her clitoris and then digitally penetrated her vagina against her will.”

Authorities said after they apprehended Vidal on Wednesday, he denied the victims’ allegations and denied knowing the first victim.

A judge found probable cause Thursday to charge Vidal with two counts of sexual battery.

As of Thursday afternoon, he was being held in the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center on a $15,000 bond.
