MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – A person was taken into custody following a stabbing that police say stemmed from a heated argument between roommates in Miami Gardens on Tuesday night.
Officers responded to the 3600 block of Northwest 192nd Street shortly after 8:30 p.m. after receiving a report of an injured person, according to Miami Gardens police.
Investigators said the altercation escalated when one roommate cut the other on the chest. The culprit remained at the scene and was detained by officers, according to authorities.
Police said medics with Miami-Dade Fire Rescue transported the victim in stable condition to a local hospital.
Police have not disclosed what caused the argument or what type of weapon was used in the attack but confirmed an investigation into the incident is ongoing.
