Fort Lauderdale detectives probe woman’s death at auto shop

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – A death investigation intensified in Fort Lauderdale as officers investigated a woman found unresponsive in a business Saturday; officers were still at the scene Tuesday.

Police said they responded to the auto shop, off Southwest 14th Street and Second Avenue, at around 3 a.m. Saturday.

Authorities found the woman and pronounced her dead at the scene.

The circumstances surrounding her death have not been revealed.

Fort Lauderdale police said detectives remained because they hadn’t finished their investigation.

It is not clear if the woman found is connected to the business.

Local 10 News has been in contact with Fort Lauderdale police seeking additional information.
