DORAL, Fla. – It’s not prep time, it’s go time.
Voting booths are being set up and tabulation bins are secured as early voting in the presidential and other key races begins Monday in Miami-Dade, Broward and Monroe counties.
People have already stated voting by mail, so in the Miami-Dade County warehouse this week, those ballots are now coming back in.
Once they arrive, signatures are verified and envelopes are sliced.
They’re stored there with a security guard at attention, and then separated from their envelopes by ballot openers, working quickly and carefully.
The ballots then wait for the ballot counters to do their job tabulating.
Results, of course, will come in on Election Day.
