NSU hosts ‘A Day for Children’ offering free, low-cost wellness services for kids

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – “A Day for Children” at Nova Southeastern University’s Fort Lauderdale/Davie campus will offer free and low-cost health services for children under the age of 16.

Health care education and activities for vision, medical, speech, behavior, and dental health as well as physical and occupational therapy are provided through NSU Health centers.

The event on Saturday, Oct. 19 will offer activities for the children attending this event. Free games, activities, and food will be provided from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the NSU Alvin Sherman Library located at 3100 Ray Ferrero Jr. Blvd. in Fort Lauderdale.

Local law enforcement and first responders also will be participating in activities throughout the day.

NSU’s Alvin Sherman Library staff will be on hand to provide library cards for children and their families. Librarians will share information about the library’s extensive resources on health and wellness.
