Deputies arrest man after Tamarac shooting

TAMARAC, Fla. – A 67-year-old man was at the main jail on Thursday in Fort Lauderdale accused of a shooting in Tamarac.

Broward Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to North Nob Hill Road Wednesday afternoon in Tamarac’s Southampton neighborhood.

“A preliminary investigation revealed that an adult male fired a shot into a window of a residence,” Carey Codd, a spokesman for the Broward Sheriff’s Office, wrote in a statement Thursday.

Deputies arrested Franklin Goldman, who was facing a charge of shooting into an occupied dwelling.

“No one was stuck by the gunfire,” Codd wrote.

Deputies did not describe the motive and asked anyone with information about this or other cases to call Broward County Crime Stoppers at 954-493-8477.
