Miramar police investigate deadly shooting; roadway shut down

MIRAMAR, Fla. – Miramar police are investigating a deadly shooting that occurred Tuesday morning and involved two victims, authorities confirmed to Local 10 News.

According to police, the shooting occurred in the 6200 block of Miramar Parkway. Sky 10 was above the scene as a Dunkin’ parking lot was blocked off with crime scene tape.

Police confirmed that one person was killed and another was injured in the shooting.

Local 10 photojournalist Lani Yasuk-Carrier was in the area and saw a BMW with all four doors open.

She said two people appeared to be in handcuffs and were being questioned by police.

Broward Sheriff’s Office deputies were also spotted at the scene.

Southbound lanes of US-441 were blocked off to traffic and drivers were urged to seek alternate routes for their morning commute.

No other details were immediately released.
