South Florida hosting Taylor Swift this weekend, ticket prices skyrocketing

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – The final leg of Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour will kick off in South Florida on Friday.

The “Electric Touch” of the tour has “Enchanted” Swifties, leaving them ready to see “Sparks Fly” in Miami Gardens for three nights this weekend.

Tickets are going for very high prices as fans have been trying to get their hands on the coveted tickets to get into Hard Rock Stadium.

6 p.m. report:

Demi Espinosa is one of those very lucky fans.

“I am super excited!” she said. “This is all I’ve been thinking about!”

Espinosa was born with a rare heart condition, she’s had 13 surgeries (which is Swift’s favorite number) and says Swift’s music is what helped her push through.

“Her music was so powerful. I only did physical therapy when I was listening to Taylor Swift,” she said.

Scoring those tickets has given Swifties a bit of a “Cruel Summer” and there’s been some “Bad Blood” between Ticketmaster and fans as their site says tickets are not available.

Never did fans think it would be so difficult to get tickets, and they can’t “Shake it Off,” making it a “Delicate” situation and leaving people searching for tickets elsewhere. Scammers are aware and spreading “Bad Karma.”

Tickets also are being sold for well above their value, reselling on StubHub and Seat Geek, with the cheapest tickets starting at $1,275 for Friday’s show, and it only skyrockets from there.

Espinosa said going to see Swift is a true blessing, and is her “Wildest Dream” come true.

“Peace and love Taylor Swift. Love you,” she said while blowing a kiss.

Local 10 News reached out to Ticketmaster in regards to the scams that have been going on.

They responded with the following statement:

“Scammers are looking for new cheats across every industry, and tickets will always be a target because they are so valuable, so Ticketmaster is constantly investing in new security enhancements to safeguard fans.”
