MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. ā A southwest Miami-Dade man was arrested over the weekend after he allegedly threatened his family with a gun during a domestic dispute just over a week ago, police confirmed Monday.
Authorities said the incident occurred around 7 p.m. on Oct. 6 at the home of 37-year-old Yasmany Rodriguez, who lives with his girlfriend, her 14-year-old daughter, and their 2-year-old child near the 11000 block of Southwest 200th Street in the countyās Goulds area.

According to the victim, an argument between her and Rodriguez quickly escalated, which police said led to a fight.
During the altercation, police said Rodriguez became enraged, threw religious relics at his girlfriend and brandished a gun in an attempt to intimidate her.
The womanās teenage daughter, who authorities said was at home when the incident occurred, told police she overheard the argument.
She told detectives that Rodriguez became more agitated, demanded the location of the ammunition for his gun, and eventually retrieved the magazine, according to investigators.
Authorities said Rodriguez allegedly threatened to shoot everyone in the home while pointing the gun at his girlfriend, but did not pull the trigger. Police also confirmed that no one was injured in the incident.
Police arrived at the scene, but confirmed that Rodriguez fled before they could apprehend him.
Authorities said at approximately 12:08 a.m. on Saturday, Miami-Dade police located Rodriguez at a home near Southwest 200th Street in connection with an unrelated incident.
Detectives said he was taken into custody and transported to MDPDās South District Police Station for questioning.
During the interview, authorities said Rodriguez waived his right to an attorney and denied all allegations.
Despite his denial, jail records show Rodriguez is facing three counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and two counts of child abuse without great bodily harm.
Police did not disclose what the couple was discussing before the altercation occurred.
As of Monday afternoon, he remained at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center on a $15,000 bond.
