PEMBROKE PARK, Fla. – A high rip current risk remained in effect on Saturday in coastal Miami-Dade and Broward counties.
Rip currents can sweep even the best swimmers away from shore into deeper water. If caught in a rip current, relax and float. Don’t swim against the current.
Swim near a lifeguard. If able, swim in a direction following the shoreline. Face the shore and call or wave for help. Those who opt for pool time will have a few storms.
Meteorologist Brandon Orr’s forecast
🌦 Scattered showers around on Saturday. High temperatures will be in the middle 80s. Slower moving showers could produce minor flooding in a few spots. This will also be the case on Sunday with some neighborhoods getting more dry time than others. Drier air will move in by Tuesday and Wednesday.
