Police: Driver struck toddler in Miami drive way

MIAMI – A woman holding a child arrived at Jackson Memorial Hospital in a Miami Fire Rescue truck on Friday in Allapattah.

According to Officer Michael Vega, a spokesman for the Miami Police Department, a driver struck a toddler in a driveway and the two are related.

According to Lt. Pete Sanchez, a spokesman for Miami Fire Rescue, the transport was a “precaution” since the car’s wheel just “touched” the child.
