Police search for suspects seen on video smashing door, burglarizing Lauderhill smoke shop

LAUDERHILL, Fla. – Authorities in Lauderhill are searching for two suspects who they said burglarized a smoke shop.

The store is located at 5422 N. University Drive and the crime occurred on Sept. 24. at approximately 1:54 a.m.

Surveillance video shows the suspects outside the store before one of them throws an object into the glass door, causing it to shatter.

Both of them then darted inside and began taking items off the shelves, video shows.

“They came in grabbed a lot of stuff,” said store owner Reef Lakhani. “They had socks on their hands.”

After around 30 seconds, the suspects took off with the items that they could carry.

Police are asking anyone who thinks they recognize them to call Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS.
