MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. – A wounded man remained hospitalized early Friday morning in Miami-Dade County after a police pursuit ended with a car crash and a shooting.
According to Detective Angel Rodriguez, a spokesman for the Miami-Dade Police Department, Antonio Vance, a 15-year-old boy, and others were in a dark blue Mercedes-Benz sedan when police officers ordered them to stop shortly after 11:15 p.m., near Northwest 37 Avenue and 145 Street.

Rodriguez identified Vance, 21, as the driver. There was a crash and several suspects jumped out of the car, police said. Police officers arrested Vance and the teenage boy.
There was a shooting at the scene of the crash in Miami Gardens.
“The civilian driver of the vehicle involved shot at one of the subjects as the individual approached him with a firearm,” Rodriguez wrote in a statement. “This subject, an adult male, sustained a gunshot wound to one of his arms.”
Miami-Dade Fire Rescue personnel responded and took the wounded man to Aventura Hospital. According to Rodriguez, the man’s condition was stable.
