FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Marion “Boosie” Harrison would have celebrated his 19th birthday on Sept. 24.

Instead of planning a party, his family remembered the 18-year-old man’s achievements at Pompano Middle School and Youth Under Construction Academy during a funeral service on Aug. 31, at the Johnson & Family Life Celebration Center, in Pompano Beach.

Before the funeral service, Harrison’s father, Chaddie Harrison, told Local 10 News the murder in Fort Lauderdale was “cold-blooded” and he and his family needed justice to be done.

“He had a bright future ahead of him,” the grieving father said about his son. “For his life to be cut short like this without giving him a chance, it’s just not fair.”

On Friday, the murder remained unsolved for about six weeks. Crime Stoppers released a flyer offering a reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to “the arrest of the suspect(s) wanted for the homicide.”

Marion Harrison died on Aug. 17. Police officers and fire rescue personnel found him bleeding shortly after 5 a.m., that Saturday, in a black Honda Civic riddled with bullets, along West Cypress Creek Road, west of North Andrews Avenue.

Investigators placed about a dozen evidence markers on the sidewalk and street. There was another man who was injured inside the Honda Civic who survived. Detectives asked anyone with information about this or other cases to call Broward County Crime Stoppers at 954-493-8477 to remain anonymous.
