BROWARD COUNTY, Fla. – The looming threat of Hurricane Helene is leading many in South Florida to take precautions.
While the storm’s greatest impact is expected on Florida’s west coast, officials in Miami-Dade and Broward are still keeping close watch as Helene is a massive storm that is going to impact most, if not all of the state.

On Wednesday night, Broward County Public Schools announced that all schools will be closed on Thursday.
That includes all before and after school care, after school activities, evening classes and other previously planned events.
BCPS said they would provide an update regarding Friday’s class status sometime Thursday afternoon.
