MIAMI – Residents of Miami-Dade County can get assistance paying off outstanding fines and reinstating their driver’s licenses through the annual “Operation Green Light” beginning Monday.
Miami-Dade’s clerk of courts joins others in the state in offering the program, which waives collection charges for customers with outstanding traffic, parking and criminal court costs, fines and fees.

Residents can use the service online, over the phone or in-person at the two main Miami courthouses or at one of the county’s six branch courthouses.
This year’s event in Miami-Dade ends on Oct. 6.
