EL PORTAL, Fla. – Police are searching for a woman seen in video stealing packages in Miami-Dade County.
The woman, identified by police as Jasmine Nobile, is seen in video taken last month driving a van while another person is taking packages from homes in the El Portal area.
Nobile is on probation and committing the crimes while wearing an ankle monitor, police said.
“We have information that the suspect is wearing an ankle monitor and we are pinging the locations to the victims’ homes,” said El Portal Police Department Detective Renee Guiterrez.
Police said the van that Nobile was driving when committing her crimes had a company phone number on it, which helped them figure out who she was.
Authorities said they are working on getting her into custody and they also are searching for a second person seen on video wearing a red hat while taking boxes from the front of homes.
Police said they believe that there may be several people behind these thefts.
“We don’t know why she would do this with an ankle monitor,” said Gutierrez.
