TAMARAC, Fla. – Four teenagers have been arrested in connection to a fatal 2023 shooting in Tamarac.
It happened on Nov. 22 along the 700 block of Northwest 79th Avenue.
Twenty-one-year-old Mateo Delgado was killed. Deputies said he tried to drive away after the shooting but crashed into a nearby pole.
It remains unclear what led up to this shooting.
The four teenagers who were arrested have been identified as Oren Jackson, Irvine Hicks, Jaheam Brooks and Nathan Dormeus, who was arrested earlier this year as a 17-year-old.
All four have been indicted for first-degree murder and shooting into an occupied vehicle.
It appears Jackson is being charged as a juvenile, something the state would like to change.
