Florida’s Python Challenge is officially over, with several winners being announced on Tuesday.
The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission facilitated the challenge, which asked Floridians to remove as many invasive Burmese pythons as possible.
This year, 857 people participated from 33 states and Canada, collectively removing almost 200 pythons.
The ultimate grand prize of $10,000 went to Ronald Kiger who removed a total of 20 pythons.
