DORAL, Fla. – State troopers arrested Cuban rapper Ovi Tuesday following a road rage incident in which he brandished a gun the day prior, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

According to an arrest report, the incident happened just after 12:45 p.m. Monday as the victim was traveling on Southwest Eighth Street underneath Florida’s Turnpike in west Miami-Dade, near Florida International University.

According to FHP, Crespo-Retureta cut another driver off in his McLaren; when that driver honked his horn, the rapper responded by pointing a gun out the window of the supercar.

Authorities said Crespo-Retureta then pulled up alongside the victim and pointed the gun directly at him. They said the victim captured video of the incident.

The singer then got on the Turnpike. The report states that the victim recognized Crespo-Retureta and his vehicle and identified him via Instagram.

Troopers said they found Crespo-Retureta driving a Lamborghini SUV in Doral and took him into custody. They said they found a SIG Sauer pistol on his waistband and two generic Percocet pills in his vehicle.

According to the arrest report, a black Lamborghini had been following behind Crespo-Retureta during the road rage incident.
