‘They wanted to kill me’: Woman run over at Pembroke Park gas station describes ordeal

PEMBROKE PARK, Fla. – The victim of a disturbing incident in which she was run down by a driver at a Pembroke Park gas station is speaking about the ordeal.

Police said the victim, who asked Local 10 News not to identify her, was deliberately run down at the Orion gas station, at 3990 W. Hallandale Beach Blvd. early Thursday morning.

“I don’t know who it is, I don’t know who would want to harm me,” she told Local 10 News’ Rosh Lowe. “All I know is I got to the gas station, got out of my car and started walking toward the door, and the car just came straight at me. That’s all I know. I don’t remember anything else.”

She spoke on Tuesday from her hospital bed, suffering from two broken legs, saying she is in fear for her life.

“I woke up the next day and they had the tubes down my throat and I needed surgery on my legs,” she said. “They wanted to kill me, the way they came directly at me.”

The victim said she has no enemies and doesn’t understand why someone would do this.

“I’m gonna let God deal with this,” she said when asked if she has a message for the driver. “There’s no words I can say.”

Pembroke Park police asked anyone with information to call Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-8477.
