MIAMI – Police said a man used a “long BBQ fork” as a weapon to rob another man outside of a Publix in the heart of Miami’s Little Havana neighborhood Monday afternoon, leading to his arrest.
Authorities said the armed robbery happened just after 3:15 p.m. at a bus stop next to the Publix Super Market at Altos Plaza at 121 SW 22nd Ave.

An arrest report states that Kevin Green, 40, demanded the man’s belongings at fork-point. It states the victim handed over a watch, a ring and “a Publix bag containing cereal and soda.”
Police said Green ran to a motorcycle dealer across the street and police, called to the scene after the robbery, arrested him.
The report states that Green still had the BBQ fork on him and was later “unable to be interviewed.”
As of Tuesday afternoon, Green, who is homeless, was being held in the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center on a first-degree felony charge of armed robbery.
His bond was listed in online jail records as “to be set.”
