Police officers find man shot in Opa-locka apartment

OPA-LOCKA, Fla. – Police officers surrounded an apartment complex early Sunday morning in Opa-locka.

The crime scene tape blocked the entrance to the Cordoba Courts complex at Northwest 139 Street near 22 Avenue. Miami-Dade fire rescue personnel also responded at 13875 NW 22 Ave.

According to the Opa-locka Police Department, police officers responded to apartment 262 and found a wounded man who had been shot. He was at Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center. His condition was serious, police said.

Homicide detectives were in the area. They asked anyone with information about this or other cases to call Miami-Dade County Crime Stoppers at 305-471-8477.
