FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Fort Lauderdale officials issued a boil water notice on Friday affecting a small area in the northern part of the city attributing it to “emergency repairs to the water distribution system.”

The “precautionary” notice to boil all of the water used for drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth, or washing dishes impacts residents around 6201 NW 9 Ave., in the area of Powerline Road and Cypress Creek Road, according to city officials.
