Broward residents can clear their arrest record by attending expungement workshop

FORY LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Broward County residents with arrest records that did not result in a conviction have a chance to clear their records at an upcoming workshop.

The Broward State Attorney’s Office will hold a free record sealing and expungement event on Thursday, Sept. 19, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Joseph C. Carter Park Gymnasium, located at 1450 West Sunrise Blvd., in Fort Lauderdale.

State Attorney Harold F. Pryor, along with volunteers and partners from the Broward County Clerk of Courts, the Broward Sheriff’s Office, and the City of Fort Lauderdale’s Parks & Recreation Department, will assist attendees with eligible cases.

Individuals with cases in Broward County that did not lead to a conviction may be eligible to have their arrest records expunged. Additionally, those who received adjudication withheld may qualify to have their records sealed.

Walk-ins are welcome, and both adults and juveniles may attend. Attendees are asked to bring a valid ID.
