Stolen van leads police on chase in northwest Miami-Dade

MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. – A police chase involving a stolen van in Miami-Dade County led to a crash and three people in custody, authorities confirmed Thursday.

According to police, troopers with the Florida Highway Patrol observed an active police pursuit involving the Hialeah Police Department and a stolen white van on Wednesday around 7 p.m. in the area of Northwest 74th Street.

The van continued fleeing from officers, crashing into two vehicles before eventually being stopped by a PIT maneuver around 74th Street and 72nd Avenue.

Three people bailed out of the van and were quickly taken into custody by responding officers and troopers.

They have since been identified as Noslan Ruiz, Abraham Carillo and Yamil Salas and are facing multiple felony charges.

All three were taken to Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center without further incident.
